Problem: Tight
Timing Combined with Coordination of Multiple Parties
The production time line is
extremely tight. Particularly
challenging is the need for the entire creative team to communicate
with “track and control ‘ precision. Included
in this process are a broad spectrum of professionals including executive
staff, outside sales personnel, multiple ad agencies across the nation,
the catalog’s graphic design team and the photographer. The
sales people want to see their client’s image to up-sell the
ad size, the executives want to know that the production and time
line are being met. The graphic designer who works a 20 hours a day
wants the files from the photographer, as soon they appear on his
screen, if not sooner.
Solution and Results:
To optimize the entire production
and creative workflow Honolulu Publishing Company selected Razzbonic’s Digital
Asset Management. The extensive
menu of options available with this version of Razzbonic provided
them with all the resources they required to cost-effectively complete
their project on-time.
Honolulu Publishing Company
enjoyed immediate benefits with Razzbonic: better internal communication;
tighter financial control; and more effective coordination of on
who was doing what and when. For
example, the sales team could see what the photo studio had photographed
on the same day and could show early ad proofs to their retailer
clients with the latest copy updates. This, in turn, resulted in
faster client ad approval.
Similarly, the production team and the graphic design group were
able to access and download the hi-resolution files from the studio,
visually keep track of all the different ad sizes and identify the
work still to be completed.
Once finalized proofs were created the sales team would download
the finished files, print them and have their individual clients
sign off of on them. From start to delivery the production time was
6 weeks.

Problem: Unifying Global Marketing
Program
With Hawaiian Host’s growing global presence,
the company faced the increasingly tough challenge of coordinating
their marketing efforts thru a geographically dispersed sales team
operating in a wide variety of time zones. Senior company management
wanted to ensure that its global marketing program remained consistent,
unified and within their control. Similarly, Hawaiian Host’s
Marketing and Sales team wanted the highest quality of photography
to help market their ever expanding product line. As the company
expanded geographically, new package designs had to be produced by
graphic design houses around the world. Accurate and consistently
high quality reproduction of both product photography and the company’s
logos was absolutely mandatory.
Razzbonic Solution and Result:
Hawaiian Host Chocolate Company selected Razzbonic’s
Digital Asset Management Package.
To ensure that all product packaging met the
company’s specifications,
all products were photographed in Hawaii with chocolates coming directly
from the factory. In addition, all company logos and graphics
were also entered into the Razzbonic database including all
the latest vector logos with strict production guidelines, downloadable
notes and PMS colors. As a result, a central source was created for
the array of graphic designers who were involved in Hawaiian Host’s
numerous different package designs. With Razzbonic,
they were finally able to have access to Hawaiian Host’s Online
Media Catalog Library to select the different packaging elements from. With
Razzbonic’s five different search capabilities, all authorized
users were able to access exactly what they required in "any
time zone".
The efficiency and ability to reuse many of
the company’s
past photography was an additional benefit that Hawaiian Host Company
enjoyed.

Problem: Frequent and Widely
Dispersed Distribution of Marketing Materials
The Outrigger’s marketing and sales team found they were devoting
a disproportionate amount of their time and energy to maintaining,
searching for and distributing their marketing materials. Everyday,
people from around the world were requesting Outrigger images and
logos along with their property descriptions. Consequently,
the Outrigger’s staff was losing tremendous efficiency and
incurring additional unjustified costs.
Razzbonic Solution and Result:
Outrigger Enterprises Inc. selected Razzbonic’s Digital
Asset Management.
With a concerted effort from Outrigger’s staff
and creative teams worldwide, each property’s vector logos
and hi-resolution photography was given to Razzbonic to catalog. Once
this was completed, specific password level authorization was provided
to Outrigger’s specified internal managers, marketing partners,
travel agents and ad agencies allowing them to access the material
online. Once registered, these users had access 24/7 to the files
they needed and to which they were authorized.

Problem: Mount PR Campaign in
Distant Location
The Hawaii Superferry’s initial ship was about
to be taken from its East Coast construction location and be placed
in the water for the first time. A newsworthy event. The problem
was that Hawaii Superferry’s headquarters, their PR company
and ad agency were all in Hawaii. The to-be-launched Superferry was
in Mobile, Alabama. The company faced a critical need to distribute
the hi-resolution photo files chronicling the launch to the appropriate
news agencies in a timely and high quality manner.
Razzbonic Solution and Result:
Hawaii Superferry selected Razzbonic’s Digital
Asset Management.
Hawaii Superferry hired 4 photographers in Mobile,
one who would fly and shoot at the same time. With the help of the
Razzbonic team, the hi-resolution files (about 2 gigabytes worth)
were uploaded directly to the Razzbonic server throughout the entire
historic weekend. Razzbonic then cataloged the new files directly into
the new Hawaii Superferry online media catalog.
Once the files had been renamed and appropriately
categorized, all Hawaii Superferry authorized users could access
them simultaneously. Not only could they download the files for their
own promotion, they could also utilize Razzbonic’s unique
feature called the Redirector. With this easy-to-use tool, specific
files could be sent to 100’s of news agencies as a link within
the company’s press release. When recipients downloaded
the files, Hawaii Superferry’s creative team was able to track
down all the activity in Razzbonic’s online reports.
